What kind of work is the Love Poetry Project looking for?
We read all poems received and accept those which we feel are best suited for the site, and the collection. We accept works written in the English language, and translations of poetry into English. Unfortunately, we cannot give individual criticism due to time constraints.
Does Love Poetry Project accept previously published material?
Yes, so long as the submitting author still retains the copyright and publishing rights.
Does Love Poetry Project pay money?
As a small publisher, we are unfortunately not able to offer payment for poetry at this time.
How do I submit my work to Love Poetry Project?
When you are ready to submit, please use our submission system on this page to upload your document.
What file types can I submit?
Under the "Poetry" category, submit files in one of the following formats only:

(.doc) files
(.rtf) files
(.txt) files

Please note that submissions are limited to three (3) poems (1 file), and should not exceed ten (10) pages. Please submit poems in a single file, and separate poems by titles or page breaks. Please include all writer contact info on the first page of the submitted file.
When can I submit to Love Poetry Project?
We accept submissions year round. Please do not make multiple submissions, and be patient for a response.
How soon can I expect to hear about my submission?
We are trying very hard minimize response time. We will do our best to respond within six months from the day of receipt, but are sometimes slower in responding. Please be patient.

The Artist grants permission to include his/her poetry work, hereinafter referred to as the Work, in an anthology tentatively titled “The Love Poetry Project”, to be published in clothbound, and/or trade paper, and/or mass market paper edition(s), and/or electronic e-book editions, by any publisher the Anthologist may select. The Artist grants the Anthologist permission to include his/her work in promotional materials. *

The Artist represents and warrants that he/she is the sole creator of the Work, and that it has not been published before in any form, and that no one has reserved the rights granted in this agreement. The Artist also represents, to the best of his/her knowledge, that the Work does not contain any libelous material, and is not in violation of any rights of privacy or any other rights of third parties, and does not violate any existing common law or statutory copyrights. The Artist agrees to hold the Anthologist harmless against any judgement finally sustained that the Work contains libel, plagiarism and/or invasion of privacy. *

The Artist agrees that this agreement shall be deemed executed under the laws of the state of New York, County of Albany. New York State law shall be the applicable law of this agreement. The Artist agrees that any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The number of arbitrators shall be one. The place of arbitration shall be Albany, New York State. New York State law shall apply. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. *
